Domus Artium hosted an extraordinary wine tour featuring some of Bordeaux’s most iconic Châteaux.
Over three days, members savored the excellence of a visit to Château Yquem; a tasting and tour at Mouton Rothschild with a lunch at Château d’Armailhac; a visit and dinner at Pichon Baron; concluded with a visit and lunch at Château Latour.
Members were also treated to an extraordinary private concert featuring world renowned musicians Nina Kotova and Salome Jordania.
Château Yquem

A visit to 400-year-old Château d’Yquem entailed discovering an estate that places a premium on art and craftsmanship. Château d’Yquem is one of the most prestigious wine estates in the world, renowned for producing exceptional Sauternes, a sweet white wine from the Bordeaux region of France. Located in the Sauternes appellation, the château has a long history dating back to the late 16th century, and it was officially classified as a Premier Cru Supérieur (Superior First Growth) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, making it the only estate to hold this highest rank in Sauternes.
Nina Kotova and Salome Jordania: A Private Concert

Nina Kotova
Nina Kotova is internationally recognized as one of the finest instrumentalists of her generation. Ms. Kotova has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras and in recital across the globe, and has performed for the Imperial family of Japan and for King Charles III at Buckingham Palace. She has collaborated and performed with artists such Lang Lang,Sting, Helene Grimaud, John Malkovich, Bobby McFerrin, Robert Redford, Jeremy Irons, Maxim Vengerov, Placido Domingo and many more.

Salome Jordania
Salome Jordania is a distinguished pianist known for her passionate and intelligent performances. Ms. Jordania has won prizes at some of the world’s most prestigious competitions and has performed across North America, Europe and in her native Georgia, where she captured 1st prize at Georgia’s National Piano Competition. She continues to captivate audiences worldwide with her expressive artisty and has been favorably reviewed by critics in Europe and North America alike.
Château Mouton Rothschild

Château Mouton Rothschild is one of the most prestigious and iconic wine estates in Pauillac, Bordeaux, France. The estate was originally known as Château Brane-Mouton before being acquired in 1853 by Nathaniel de Rothschild, who renamed it Château Mouton Rothschild. For over a century, it remained in the hands of the Rothschild family, with Baron Philippe de Rothschild revolutionizing the estate’s reputation in the 20th century. Today, the château is managed by Camille Sereys de Rothschild, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild under Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A.
Pichon Baron

Château Pichon Baron, officially Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, is a prestigious wine estate located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, France. It is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification and is known for producing some of the finest and most age-worthy red wines in the Médoc. Founded in 1694 by Jacques de Pichon, Château Pichon Baron has a long and storied history in Bordeaux. In 1850, the estate was divided into two properties: Château Pichon-Longueville Baron and Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. In 1987, Pichon Baron was acquired by AXA Millésimes, which invested heavily in vineyard improvements and modern winemaking facilities to restore its former glory.
Château Latour

Château Latour is one of the most prestigious and historic wine estates in Pauillac, Bordeaux, France. It is classified as a First Growth (Premier Grand Cru Classé) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The estate’s origins date back to 1331, when a fortress tower (La Tour) was built to guard the Gironde estuary. Wine production at Château Latour began in the 17th century, and by the 18th and 19th centuries, it had gained worldwide recognition. In 1993, the estate was acquired by French billionaire François Pinault and is now managed by Artemis Domaines, which has further elevated its reputation. Château Latour is widely considered one of the greatest wines of Bordeaux, embodying power, finesse, and remarkable aging potential.
