Carlo Cracco
Born in Vicenza in 1965, Carlo Cracco started his professional career at the legendary Milanese
Restaurant Gualtiero Marchesi, the very first Italian restaurant to be awarded three Michelin stars.
He moved to France for three years where he had the opportunity to learn the secrets of French cuisine as a sous chef under the guidance of Alain Ducasse and Lucas Carton. Cracco then returned to Italy, to Florence, where he became principal chef at Enoteca Pinchiorri. During his management there, he obtained three Michelin stars in a very short time. In 2006 Cracco was awarded the Ambrogino d’Oro, and in 2012, he began his collaboration with Singapore Airlines where he was responsible for creating its exclusive award-winning menus for business and first class.
Today, Carlo Cracco is the President of the Maestro Martino Association, a non-profit whose main objective is to promote signature cuisine and the excellence of Italian products and their territory.
In February 2018, the Cracco’s restaurant moved to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, 1200 square meters of spaces divided over several floors: a cellar containing over 2500 labels from all over the world, the Cracco café on the ground floor, and the Michelin-starred restaurant on the 1st floor.
In December 2020, Cracco Express inaugurated its first online shop: a platform where you can purchase a selection of special Cracco-branded products. In July 2021, Carlo Cracco inaugurated his new restaurant, CRACCO PORTOFINO in Portofino, Italy.
